Magical is the word to describe the {surprise} wedding of Danielle and Alex. We had the pleasure of being a part of this intimate and super-fun backyard wedding celebration in May this year. Danielle, the Bride-to-be, and her groom, Alex, created an incredibly fun and stunning engagement party that truly reflected them both. Halfway through the evening, however, they surprised guests by announcing their wedding, with the ceremony taking place, now!

With the help of some super talented Brisbane wedding vendors, the couple created a unique vision for their special day, a mix of Palm Springs and Spanish fiesta.

As part of the backyard celebration, our bartenders and caravan bar were set up under the picturesque festoon lighting, running through the trees. Upon arrival, we greeted guests with a signature cocktail especially designed by the bride and groom, coined ‘Rosemary Gin Fizz’. It is also worth mentioning that ALL of the rosemary syrup was homemade by the couple, with each guest also being gifted with their own little syrup to take home.

This special experience was full of so many wonderful and perfect little details, that really brought it to life. The bride, being a designer, created all of the beautiful paper goods, invitations and signs (so talented!). Danielle’s mum also shined, creating the stunning macramé ceremony backdrop.

We felt so special to be a part of their happily-ever-after, and are still blushing from their beautiful words about our bar service;

'Jenny and Adam are absolutely wonderful. Apart from being consummate professionals with a brilliant business, they are simply lovely lovely people who are a genuine pleasure to be around. As I was planning a surprise wedding in a short amount of time I really did lean on my vendors, and Jen was above and beyond supportive and gave me so much advice and I could not be more thankful to her. You will never regret getting onboard with Gathering Events, they certainly bring the magic. Thank you so much, guys, for accommodating all our wishes and bringing our wedding to life.'
