 Here at Gathering Events, we adore the magic of outdoor celebrations; the lights, the stars and fresh air. It is not always an easy task planning such a special event, so we wanted to share with you some tips and tricks when creating your unique outdoor wedding.

The {dreaded} budget

Before you jump onto Pinterest and build your dream wedding board, it is so important that both partners understand and are aware of the wedding budget. Having a goal is critical to the entire wedding planning process, and will ensure you stay on track. From here, the real work begins, and you can start to get quotes for your big ticket items, such as the venue, marquee or tipi and catering.

Know your style

Research is key at this point, make sure you are aware of the style and experience you are wanting to create. If you waiver, you may find yourself wanting to hire, buy and make every beautiful feature or item you come across. Do you love the relaxed bohemian style, beach vibe, gold and brass or a large traditional sit-down wedding?

Find the right location  

Location really is a big decision, as it plays a huge part in determining your style, and also effects your budget when you consider available facilities such as bathrooms, refrigeration, power and water! It is also worth taking not of parking, closeness to transport and on-site accommodation.
