CORRIE & BEAU - BROOKFIELD HALL WEDDING - BRISBANE
In June, we had the pleasure of working with Corrie & Beau for their wedding at the Upper Brookfield Community Hall in BYO Venue Brisbane. The two met back in 2010 on the hill at Riverstage Brisbane, soaking up the summer sun and great tunes.
You can tell that the two have fantastic music taste; their ceremony featured the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sarah Blasko, and Queens of the Stone Age. They wanted their wedding to be about bringing their friends and family closer together and opted for a relaxed outdoor reception right by their wedding ceremony venue just west of Brisbane CBD.
Upper Brookfield Community Hall was the perfect choice for the couple due to the stunning drive there, and the seclusion - it felt like it was worlds away (even though it was only a stone’s throw away from Brisbane City). The Upper Brookfield Hall, quaint and surrounded by nature, is exactly what Corrie & Beau wanted.
The ceremony was unexpectedly their favorite moment of the day, Corrie calling it “truly unforgettable!” After the ceremony and the gorgeous confetti had settled, it was time for the reception (aka getting the party started).
Beside the hall is a lovely grassed space, where the wedding party commenced. Under a clear marquee, the partygoers could see the sun setting wherever they were, and eventually the stars as the night grew on. Despite being a winter wedding, the crisp sun was shining well into the afternoon; you couldn't ask for a better day for a wedding if you tried (especially when we’re talking about Brisbane wedding weather).
Gathering Events’ Caravan Bar was enlisted for the special day, as well as the Lawn Games for the grass. Corrie & Beau chose the Caravan Bar for the fun, festival vibe it gave off, and the flexibility of Brookfield wedding venue location. They stocked up with their favorite wine and beer and let their friends and family help themselves to a customized cocktail menu or their favorite brew (literally hand selected by the Bride and Groom thanks to our BYO drinks service). The easy-access bar was perfect for the event and allowed everyone to have a drink in their hand to toast the happy couple.
We were so happy to assist in making Corrie & Beau's wedding as fantastic as it could possibly be and we wish them the best for their marriage ahead.
